Express Entry Draws

This week we saw two Express Entry Draws:

Draw #195 took place on July 7, 2021, and issued 627 invitations to apply (ITAs) to qualifying individuals of the Provincial Nominee Program. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score was 760.

Draw #196, on July 8, 2021, issued 4500 invitations to apply (ITAs) to qualifying individuals of the Canadian Experience Class. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score was 369.

Program Delivery Updates

On July 6, 2021, there was an amendment to the vocabulary used to describe occupations that require a medical examination for a TRV application.


A new online portal has been launched for some permanent resident programs, including spousal sponsorship and some economic permanent resident streams. There was a small update to the wording of some programs here.

*I have taken some time to explore the new portal. It will be imperative that applicants educate themselves on which documents they are required to submit.


A translation mistake was corrected on the Study Permit instructions on July 6, 2021.


Two key updates on July 8, 2021, for individuals holding student permits and work during COVID.


On July 8, 2021, there were some updates to the Oath of Citizenship.
