Express Entry Draws

There weren't any Express Entry draws this week, we anticipate to see some next week again. There was, however, a rather significant update to the Express Entry application process wherein the time to submit a completed application has been reduced to 60 days (originally 90).

Program Delivery Updates

On June 25, 2021, it was announced that there would be some reorganization with LMIA exemption codes for Caribbean Agricultural Liason Officers.

A rather important update for Express Entry candidates, and particularly for those being issued ITAs in the future. On June 29th, 2021, it was announced that Express Entry applications must be received within 60 days of being issued an invitation to apply. This is shortened from the previous 90 days.

Announced on June 30th, 2021, Temporary Resident Visas (TRVs) for those who were not eligible to travel to Canada during the pandemic will resume processing.

*Don’t forget* Effective July 5, 2021 at 11:59 PM, travelers entering Canada who are fully vaccinated with one of Canada’s approved vaccines will no longer need to quarantine or be required to take a PCR test on day 8. More details can be found here.
