IRCC Launches New Status Tracker for Family Class PR Applications

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released a new digital case status tracker that will allow some family class permanent residence applicants, sponsors, and representatives to easily check the status of the application online.  This increases application transparency and allows access to the same information as calling an IRCC client service agent.

The release of this tracker, in addition to digitizing files, processing applications remotely, conducting virtual interviews, and assigning an increased number of officers to make decisions on spousal applications has worked to streamline the application process through this channel; reducing the average processing time to the service standard 12 months for new applications.

Qualifying applicants who want to track the status of their application(s) can do so on the Government of Canada’s official status tracker website using your Unique Client Identifier (UCI), client ID, or party ID.
